Matraville Medical Centre opened in 1973 and is a fully accredited general practice.

A/Prof Gullotta joined the Matraville Medical Centre in 1992, after completing a Pharmacy Degree at Sydney University and a Medical degree at the University of Newcastle, graduating with Honours in 1991. In 1998 he was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. 

After serving 2 years as President of the Australian Medical Association NSW, in 2007 he was elected Executive Councillor of the Federal AMA and Chairs the Therapeutics and Public Health Committees. A/Prof Gullotta is a clinical teacher at the University of Sydney and UNSW. In November 2005 he was awarded the title of Adjunct Associate Professor, Central Clinical School at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Sydney. In 2006 he was elected a Fellow of the AMA in recognition of his outstanding service to the Association.

He is Past President of the Rotary Club of Maroubra, a member of Variety - the Children's Charity and Chairs the AMA NSW Charitable Foundation. In 1995 he was awarded an Australian Doctor GP Award and was the recipient of the Inaugural 2001 University of Newcastle Alumni Medal Sydney for his professional achievements and service to the community and the University. 

In 2006 he was elected to the board of Diabetes Australia NSW.

His special interests are diabetes, asthma, paediatrics, arthritis and heart disease.

A/Prof Gullotta is medical consultant to the Italian Consulate of Sydney and speaks fluent Italian. In 2007 he was appointed Member in the Order of Australia, AM for service to medicine through a range of executive roles with professional medical associations and as a general practitioner, and to the Italian community.

Mon - Fri    9.00 am - 12.30 pm
                 3.30 pm - 6.00 pm
Saturday    9.00 am - 12.30 pm

Our friendly receptionists Trudy and Lella are available to assist you. Please phone 9311 2525 for an appointment. If you require an extended appointment, please inform the receptionist when booking. 

EMERGENCIES
Emergencies will always take priority and will be seen quickly simply notify the receptionist. 

AFTER-HOURS
For after-hours problems, please phone 8724 6300 and a doctor will visit you at home. For serious problems or emergencies, ring 000 for an ambulance or go to the Emergency Dept at Prince of Wales Hospital.
